E-RIHS Joins the GRAPHIA Consortium

GRAPHIA is pleased to announce that E-RIHS ERIC has joined its consortium as one of the partners to contribute its expertise in heritage science, research infrastructures, and FAIR data.
Bringing Heritage Science into the GRAPHIA Knowledge Graph Federation
As the European Research Infrastructure for Heritage Science, E-RIHS provides access to world-class facilities, expertise, data, and training that support the study, conservation, and understanding of cultural heritage. Heritage science is inherently interdisciplinary, bringing together the humanities, natural sciences, engineering, and digital technologies to address complex research questions.
Participation in GRAPHIA represents a natural extension of E-RIHS’s commitment to Open Science and interoperability. By contributing heritage science resources and expertise to the project, E-RIHS will help ensure that cultural heritage knowledge is more effectively integrated within the wider European SSH landscape. The collaboration will strengthen connections between heritage science and other SSH disciplines, making it easier for researchers to discover relevant resources, explore cross-disciplinary links, and generate new insights from interconnected data.
Supporting FAIR, Interoperable and AI-ready Research
GRAPHIA aims to address one of the major challenges facing SSH research today: the fragmentation of scholarly information across repositories, infrastructures, and national initiatives. Through semantic technologies, knowledge graphs, and AI, the project will make research outputs more discoverable, machine-readable, and reusable.
E-RIHS will contribute to this vision by supporting the development of interoperable data and services that align with FAIR principles and promote sustainable digital infrastructures for heritage science. This work complements E-RIHS’s ongoing efforts to develop shared standards, digital services, and collaborative research environments that enable researchers to work across disciplines and borders.

By joining GRAPHIA, E-RIHS reinforces its commitment to advancing European research through collaboration, innovation, and open access to knowledge.
